Day 1 -Welcome to Copenhagen Greetings to you, Copenhagen! Spend your afternoon at leisure to relax and settle in before joining your Travel Director and fellow travelers for drinks and a warm and friendly dinner. In the evening visit the glittering lights and enchanting atmosphere of the world-famous Tivoli Gardens.
Day 2 -Wonderful Copenhagen A Local Expert will reveal the charm of Denmark's capital. Visit Hans Christian Andersen's Little Mermaid gazing wistfully across the harbor and see Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish Government. Continue to Rosenborg Castle, Amalienborg Palace and Copenhagen Cathedral, where the Crown Prince of Denmark married Princess Mary. View the unusual Rundertaarn and enjoy an afternoon at your leisure, relaxing or exploring at your pace. Perhaps take an optional experience into the picturesque Danish countryside to see the castles of North Zealand?
North Zealand Castle Tour - With our Local Expert, we’ll drive along the scenic coastal road of the Danish Riviera to the castles of North Zealand. See Fredensborg, the summer residence of the Royal Family, then visit Frederiksborg, the largest Renaissance palace in Scandinavia. It’s now a museum, so the tour through the beautiful rooms offers an encounter with the kings and queens who shaped the country’s history. En route, pass through picturesque villages of half-timbered houses and thatched roofs.
Day 3 -On to Gothenburg Continue along Sweden’s west coast to the cosmopolitan port city of Gothenburg. On arrival, explore with your Local Expert and learn about the region’s culture and nautical history. The evening is at your leisure. Take a stroll along the leafy boulevards and enjoy dinner in one of the city’s many restaurants.
Sweden's Hidden Aviation History - Take a guided tour at the Aeroseum, which is not just an aviation museum but an authentic aviation experience in a converted Cold War rock hangar! Day 4 -Scenic farmlands of Sweden Enjoy views of the patchwork of fertile farmlands, as you journey along the shores of Lake Vättern to the Swedish capital. Day 5 -Stockholm, City of Islands See the charms of Sweden's capital with your Local Expert. Wander the medieval streets of Gamla Stan and see the 13th-century cathedral. Visit the imposing City Hall to see its fabulous Gyllene salen, the Golden Hall, with its walls covered in 18 million gilded mosaic tiles, and the Blå hallen, the Blue Hall, where the Nobel Prize banquets are held. There's free time in the afternoon for you to explore at your own pace. Perhaps visit the fabulous Vasa Galleon, raised from Stockholm's harbor-bed in 1961 after sinking on its maiden voyage in 1628?

Day 6 -Uppsala and Falun Travel to the historic city of Uppsala, the seat of Scandinavia’s oldest university. Meet Hans Odoo, a passionate local storyteller, who will share the fascinating history of the Carl Linnaeus Garden on a guided tour. You’ll learn about Sweden’s first botanical garden and its 1300 species of flora and fauna. Continue to the historic city of Uppsala, seat of Scandinavia’s oldest university. Travel to Falun, an old historic mining town. In the evening, enjoy a delightful Farm-to Table dinner at a local restaurant, prepared with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients

Day 7 -Lillehammer With your Travel Director see the Falun Copper Mine and the Great Pit, a vast crater created by an enormous mine collapse in 1687. Later on in the morning travel along the shores of Lake Siljan to Mora, the home of Sweden’s infamous 17th-century witch trials. Continue deep into the forested heart of the country to reach Sälen, the starting point for the world’s oldest and longest cross-country ski race, Vasaloppet. This 90 kilometer race across the snow has been challenging skiers since 1922. Later cross the border into Norway and pass Hamar with its Olympic ice skating rink which resembles an upturned Viking ship. Journey along the shores of Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake, to arrive at Lillehammer, home of the 1994 Winter Olympics

Day 8 -Geiranger, Jewel of the Fjords Journey northwest from Lillehammer, traveling through the countryside of Peer Gynt, immortalized by Ibsen. At Lom, view the Norwegian stave church dating back to 1158. Continue along winding roads that pass waterfalls, rivers, ice fields, lakes and snow-capped peaks. For the next two nights you will stay in the scenic village of Geiranger, overlooking fjords and soaring mountains.
Day 9 -Geiranger at Leisure Enjoy a Relaxed Start and a day reserved for your leisure amongst the most breathtaking scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perhaps join an Optional Experience for an incredible scenic drive along the amazing Troll's Road? The road itself was a masterpiece of engineering when it was built over 70 years ago and the spectacular views will leave you speechless.
The Troll's Road - Your tour of Geiranger includes a scenic drive up the Eagle’s Road, offering amazing views of the Geiranger Fjord and the stunning Seven Sisters Waterfall. At the small village of Eidsdal, cross the fjord by ferry and climb up through the abundant fruit growing valleys. Leave civilization behind as you venture high above the tree line for some of the most breathtaking scenery. Now on to the Troll’s Road, a masterpiece of engineering built over 70 years ago.
Day 10 -Fjærland and Leikanger After a relaxed morning, take a scenic cruise along the Geirangerfjord. Your travels continue to the Bøya Glacier for a photo-stop. Explore Fjærland with Insight Choice. Choose to visit the interactive Norwegian Glacier Museum, a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience, the largest icecap in continental Europe at the foot of the Jostedal Glacier. Day 11 -The Flåm Railway to Bergen Cross Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway, extending over 200 kilometers and reaching depths of 1,308 m (4,291 ft). Then take the Flåm Railway, a feat of 20th-century engineering, through steep terrain, tunnels and waterfalls. Continue to Voss for a visit to Finnegarden Farm and discover how glacial soil and a cool climate shape the distinctive flavors of their traditionally crafted juices and ciders. End the day in Bergen, a former Hanseatic trading port with a rich maritime heritage and distinctive wooden architecture along its historic wharf
Day 12 -The Hanseatic port of Bergen A Local Expert introduces you to Bergen. The ancient Hanseatic port city still largely looks to the sea for its living, as evidenced by the picturesque and lively Fish Market, set in a charming location in the heart of the city. The market also has stalls selling a colorful variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, handicrafts and souvenirs. After seeing the 13th-century Haakon’s Hall, there will be time to explore all that this exciting town has to offer. Perhaps you might like to visit the home of composer Edvard Grieg, before ascending Mount Fløyen by the only funicular in Scandinavia
Day 13 -Mountains and Fjords to Oslo Travel along scenic and varied landscapes to Oslo, drive past some of Norway's most picturesque ski-resorts. Leaving the seaside town of Bergen, your journey continues climbing up to elevations of 1200m (3930ft) offering moon like scenery and passing some of Norway’s ski resorts on the Hardanger Plateau. After returning to lower areas you’ll be driving among dense forests before reaching the capital city of Oslo
Day 14 -Cosmopolitan Oslo With your Local Expert, see the Royal Palace and the spires and ramparts of Akershus Castle, the 14th century fortress guarding the harbor. At Frogner Park, view the intriguing Vigeland sculptures. Explore the area around the Opera House and see the strikingly modern architecture of the Bjørvika neighborhood. In the evening, round off your Scandinavian adventure with a dinner at a local restaurant. Over a glass of wine, toast to your travels with your newfound friends.
Arctic Explorers and the Polar Ship Fram - Step aboard the polar ship Fram, the strongest wooden ship ever built, to experience the life and work of Norway's famous Arctic explorers. The expeditions of Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen come to life in the interactive exhibitions of this museum, which also houses the Gjøa, the first ship to navigate the entire Northwest Passage.

2020 February, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mekong River Cruise & Angkor Wat
Day 1 -Fly Calgary - Vancouver - Seoul(Incheon) - Hanoi
Day 2 -Arrive Hanoi, stayed at Silk Path Hotel
Day 3 -Walked around "Old Town", thousands and thousands of scooters, went for a guided Street Food tour in the evening, Egg Coffee(hot chocolate)and Banh mi (sub sandwich) were delicious!
Day 4 -Small group tour to Ancient Capital, Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Bich Dong, Bicycle ride to Bungalo lunch and Bich Dong Pagoda, Sampan ride powered by woman who rows with her feet!
Day 5 -More exploring in "Old Town" including a visit to the "Hanoi Hilton" former prison
Day 6 -Start Emerald Tour, Full day city tour, Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, One Pillar pagoda, Temple of Literature, lunch at a "training restaurant", walk through "old quarter", Ngoc Son temple, ending with a Water Puppet show.
Day 7 -Bus to Halong Bay and board "Bhaya Auco" for a 2 night cruise. Visit floating villages in sampan.
Day 8 -Visit Cat Ba Island and bicycle to Viet Hai Village
Day 9 -Disembark "Bhaya Auco". Lunch and Shopping stop in Hai Duong, bus to Hanoi airport for flight to Da Nang/ Hoi An. Three nights at Hoi An Historic Hotel.
Day 10 -Walking tour of Unesco World Heritage Site Hoi An, Japanese covered bridge, lantern making/work shop, Assembly Hall of the Chinese Congregation. Dinner at a nice restaurant where we could see a parade/light show in the distance.
Day 11 -Tour of Unesco World Heritage Site "My Son", another great Banh mi for lunch, visit the night market.
Day 12 -Bus back thru Da Nang with another view of the Dragon Bridge on the way to Hue. Clear weather allowed us to take the Hai Van pass with great views of the East Vietnam Sea (aka South China Sea). In Hue we visited the Unesco World Heritage Site Imperial Citadel then an extended rickshaw ride to Indochine Palace Hotel for a one night stay. Royal Dinner complete with traditional costumes.
Day 13 -Dragon Boat ride to Thien Mu Pagoda then bus to Hue airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and two nights at the Grand Hotel. Afternoon city Bus/Walking tour including Reunification Hall (Presidential Palace), Opera House, old Saigon Post Office.
Day 14 -Morning tour of Cu Chi tunnels. Afternoon, on our own, lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, visited the big Market.
Day 15 -Embark "Emerald Harmony" for 7 Night Mekong River Cruise. Sail the Mekong Delta towards Cho Gao canal.
Day 16 -Sail the Cho Gao canal to My Tho. Shore excursion to Ben Tre coconut candy factory and Tan Long Pagoda. Ride in a Lambro which is kind of pick truck version of a Lambretta scooter. Sail to Sa Dec.
Day 17 -Morning in Sa Dec, visit fresh market, Chinese congregational house Kien An Cung, home of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le. Afternoon sail to My An Hung village. Walk the village, in home guitar/singing performance, concrete pot making, sample fresh coconut water and walk over the monkey bridge.
Day 18 -Afternoon visit to Long Khan Island, see scarf weaving and walk through village. Evening Lion Dance performance on-board Emerald Harmony.
Day 19 -Bicycle rickshaw ride to Lanh My A Silk factory, dyeing and weaving of silk. Take sampan up canal to visit Evergreen Island, walk through farmers field of red chilies and through village. Cross Vietnam/Combodia Border. Leave our guide Quyen behind in Vietnam and leave sanpans behind (been towing them since My Tho). Arrive in Phnom Penh after dinner, very brightly lit city.
Day 20 -Visit the Killing Fields, Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (former school), Royal Palace and Central Market. Evening tuk-tuk ride through the city.
Day 21 -Cruise up river and tie up to the bank. Bus to Oudong Temples, Traditional Monk Blessing and Monk march to meal. Ox Cart ride back to the boat which had moved upstream and tied up to a different bank location. Evening Monkey Dance performance on the boat.
Day 22 -Disembark "Emerald Harmony" back at the original bank tie up, watch crew muscle all the luggage up the bank. Bus to Siem Reap in time for Lunch. Evening visit to the Phare Cambodian Circus.Three night stay at the Shinta Mani Angkor Siem Reap Hotel.
Day 23 -Visit Angkor Thom and Temple of Ta Prohm. Temple of Ta Prohm has been taken over by the jungle and remains unrestored.
Day 24 -Sunrise visit to Unesco World Heritage Site Angkor Wat. Amazing site made even more amazing to get to because the bridge over the lagoon was under repair. Hundreds of people crossing a floating bridge in the dark that was bouncing more than a childs inflatable bounce house! Afternoon boat excursion of Tonle Sap, large shallow lake with floating village. Locals came along side with children in their boats draping pythons around their necks.

Fly Calgary to Halifax to Glasgow
Day 1 - Arrive in Glasgow, meet for dinner with group and tour guide. Stay at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Day 2 - City tour by coach then on the road, stop at Inveruglas Visitor Center on Loch Lomand, outdoor Fish and Chip lunch at Spean Bridge, follow Loch Lochy and Loch Ness to Inverness and stay at Mercure Inverness Hotel. After dinner a short drive to Dores Inn/Pub for drinks on the shore of Loch Ness.
Day 3 - CULLODEN Visit the Culloden Moor battlefield site and visitor center. Clava Cairns Bronze age Cemetary (Street View), BLAIR ATHOLL Visit Blair Castle. Stay two nights at Principal Edinburgh George St. in Edinburgh.
Day 4 - EDINBURGH Morning city sightseeing with a Local Guide includes the New Town, Old Town and a visit to Edinburgh Castle to see Scotland’s Crown Jewels. Visit Holyrood Palace.
Day 5 - GRETNA GREEN. LAKE DISTRICT (a UNESCO World Heritage site ) Scenic drive. GRASMERE Visit Wordsworth’s beloved village and try the original Grasmere gingerbread. LIVERPOOL Visit The Beatles Story. Stay at Novatel Liverpool.
Day 6 - NORTH WALES Scenic drive through Betws-y-Coed (morning rest stop) and Snowdonia National Park. Visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (No I did not fall asleep on the keyboard its Welsh). Ferry crossing from Holyhead to Dublin. Stay two nights at The Gibson Point Village in Dublin.
Day 7 - DUBLIN Orientation drive to see O’Connell Street, Georgian squares, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Oscar Wilde's Trinity College. Dinner at Guinness Storehouse.
Day 8 - KILDARE Visit the Irish National Stud. CASHEL See the Rock of Cashel, where St. Patrick preached.
BLARNEY Kissed the blarney stone. Stay the night at Killarney Plaza Hotel.
Day 9 - RING OF KERRY Panoramic drive around the island’s southwestern tip. Kerry Bog Village Museum (Street View) burning peat moss, ADARE Stop at the quaint village to see its pretty thatched cottages. LIMERICK. Stay the night at Clayton Hotel Limerick. Diner at Bunratty Castle.
Day 10 - CLIFFS OF MOHER Visit 668-foot-high cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean. GALWAY. Stay the night at the Great Northern Hotel on the golf course in Bundoran. Visit an old pub for beer and snacks.
Day 11 - DERRY/Londonderry Walk on the city walls with a local guide. GIANT’S CAUSEWAY. Stay the night in Belfast at the Stormont Hotel.
Day 12 - BELFAST Visit Titanic Experience museum. Ferry crossing to Cairnryan on the west coast of Scotland. back to Glasgow stay at the Radisson Blu, right across the street from the train station.
Day 13 - Leave tour group and take Train to London, stay at The Cumberland Hotel
